VirWave Events

The room knows before you walk in.

VirWave Events match a roomful of strangers in real time. Ten questions on the way in; table assignments or live pair suggestions on the way through.

Two rooms, one engine

Tables, or pairs.

Each event runs on the same match: pairwise agreement on what matters, and archetype-realm compatibility. The mode changes how the host uses it.

Live · In-room

Tables mode

For dinners, seated singles nights, and curated rooms of 12 to 30. The engine clusters the room into tables that fit. The host taps once. Phones light up with seats.

Live · In-room

Pairs mode

For mixers, networking evenings, and rooms of 30 to 60. Live pair rankings refresh as people arrive. The host walks the room making introductions. Phones nudge: find Sarah — you two should talk.

How it works

Ten questions. One evening. No leaderboards.

A partner-facing description of what happens at the door. The participant flow itself lives in the VirWave app.

Scan

Walk in, scan a QR code, type your first name and email, and verify with a six-digit code.

Answer

Five or ten questions, one per screen, two to four minutes. Big tap targets. No labels, no diagnoses.

Sit, or talk

When the room is ready, the host pushes assignments. Your phone tells you where to sit, or who to find.

Your email becomes your VirWave account. Tonight's answers add to your portrait — or stay separate if you prefer. The choice is one tap on the sign-in screen.

Aggregate, never individual

What the host sees, and what they don't.

The host sees who's in the room, what realms they fall into, and which pairs are strongest. The host never sees a single answer anyone gave. Other attendees see your first name and your realm — never your answers, never your scores. Your portrait is yours.

  • Hosts see aggregates.
  • Attendees see names, not answers.
  • Numbers reveal only above an 85 match — and only to you.

FAQ

The usual questions.

What if I just want to talk to people, not be matched?

Scanning is opt-in. If you skip it, you're just at the event. People who scan get a small list of who's worth finding; people who don't still get to chat like normal.

What happens to my answers after the event?

By default your answers fold into your VirWave portrait, so the app knows a little more about you next time. If you'd rather keep the evening separate, there's an opt-out on the sign-in screen — and any answers kept separate are deleted seven days after the event.

What if I'm already a VirWave user?

Use the same email. The room recognises you, and tonight's answers add to your existing portrait. You won't need to redo anything you've already answered in the app.

What does the host actually see about me?

Your first name, the realm you fall into, and how the pairs in the room rank. They don't see your answers, your individual scores, or anything about your VirWave portrait beyond this event.

How do you decide who's compatible?

Two layers. The first is pairwise agreement on things that matter in a room together — values, communication style, and how you handle stress. The second is archetype realm: some realms find easy ground with each other, others find interesting ground. The match uses both.
